Politically Incorrect
Okay, since the conversation is turning towards politics elsewhere, here is the place to do it... no political agendas here though, folks.
Re: Politically Incorrect
Ok, I LOVE Palin As His VP Choice, she Appeals to Women, And I Like Her Agenda!
Go McCain and Palin!
Go McCain and Palin!
Re: Politically Incorrect
As a woman, I assure you that we don't vote the gender line! We do get a little huffy when men think that we DO! I can't think of one woman I know who likes Palin. The hippie in my doesn't like her oil & God stuff, and the Conservative in me thinks she should be home with her kids, esp. the poor baby with Downs Syndrome.
It's funny how we haven't come that far from chauvinism of any kind: the president of the NY chapter of NOW (Natl Organization of Women) came out and said that if you didn't vote for Hilary, you had betrayed your gender. WTF?!?!?!? Even my Humorless Feminist pals took offense.
I can't believe there wasn't a weightier choice if they HAD to have a female. Nor do I think too many female Clinton supporters are going to vote for an anti-choice ticket.

yup, what jerhanner said....
Palin does not appeal to most women. She might appeal to women who are a) ardently extremist Christian believing that women are second class citizens who should exist to bear children and support their men...or b) well...there is no b.
The overwhelming majority of women are smart enough to look at what the candidate says, not what reproductive organs the candidate sports.
That would explain why McCain's poll numbers went down after announcing Palin as his running mate...many of the women who had decided to vote McCain and tough out the 4 years waiting for Mrs. Clinton to make another run, couldn't stomach Palin.

Re: Politically Incorrect
but, she gave a good speech, so that means she'll make a good VP, right...?
Re: Politically Incorrect
duh...
Just because she sounded good does not mean she is good....think about it. Why did people follow Hitler? He sounded good...they didn't look past that to what he really thought or intended...I'd love to say that this is just an analogy and has no bearing on the reality we are discussing, but I cannot....She sounds good...just as Hitler did.

Re: Politically Incorrect
yeah, but Hitler was an amazing leader and almost lead Germany to conquer Eastern Europe... Imagine if Palin lead us to conquer Canada! That would be amazing!
